At Scottsdale Mental Health & Wellness Institute you and your families wellness is our objective
We know that there are times in life where stress, trauma, and life circumstances can cause us to feel like things are out of control and we just need a little extra help.
The Adolescent Intensive Out-Patient program works with adolescents from 13 to 19 years old that are currently struggling with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, substance abuse, self-harming behaviors, and relationship conflicts. A-IOP uses Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT) topics and themes to help develop mindfulness, learn to center and refocus their emotions, learn coping, grounding, and distress tolerance skills, and address their self-esteem, self-worth and interpersonal effectiveness.
A-IOP is an 8-week open-group program which meets in person from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., 3x a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Part of our A-IOP program includes a family group component which is required. Adolescents who participate in A-IOP will be required to meet with one of our psychiatrists and our licensed therapists while in the program.
